The Roadhouse 005 is available for download from the above image link.

This week’s show includes 10 artists and several instrumental blues cuts. Artists include Oreo Blue, The Blue Olives, Naked Soul, Tone Stack, Shannon Boshears, and many more.

Also this week, the format of the show has changed from 64 KBps encoding to 96 KBps encoding. It’s really an attempt to preserve the fidelity of the show while maintaining a reasonable file size. Let me know what you think in the comments.

Nachitoches Street is in New Orleans. Unless my drunken memories are lying to me, it’s the street that runs along the river a few miles to the west of the French Quarter. Legendary club Tipitina’s is on that street.

    Thanks for the extra bits!

I appreciate the higher quality. All my podcast downloads are now scheduled with cron, and automatically sync’d with my iPod so I won’t even notice the extra minute it takes to download.

I’m wrong – Tipitina’s is on Tchopitoulas (or something like that.) It’s possible I have no idea what the hell I’m talking about.

Had me believing! Clearly you know more that I.

Thanks, Bruce. I’ll get the correction to your name in the next show … where did I come up with Paul?

    Thanks, Anton.

I shouldn’t be surprised, but I really was by the difference in the sound quality. 96 seems like a pretty fair compromise between size and quality.

Hey! Thanks for playing my music!!
