I’ve been on the "early schedule" for the past month or so – up at 3:00 am to finish the writing on the latest book. After the coffee’s done and the oatmeal is boiling in the pan, I check the iPodder client to see what new podcasts have found their way to my desktop overnight. Usually, I’m still rubbing the sleep from my eyes and only half paying attention. I’m currently subscribed to more than 50 podcasts and sometimes the list is just a bit too daunting to really peruse before finishing the first, or second cup of pressed coffee.

That was no problem this morning. I was up checking the FeedBurner stats from yesterday almost before the alarm went off. I knew I’d see a spike, but had no idea how big it would be. That’s because I’d scanned through the html show notes last night for yesterday’s Daily Source Code to see what Adam had in store. Whaddya know? There was a mention of my long promo for The Roadhouse. Of course, I downloaded the show immediately and fast-forwarded just to hear any comments Adam might have made on the show. I couldn’t have asked for better, as Adam said at least three times, "I’m subscribing, definitely subscribing to this podcast." Thanks, Adam and welcome.

Which all makes for a bit of a dizzying few days. A guest shot on one of my favorite podcasts, followed almost immediately by a very public and very ringing endorsement of at least the musical selection for The Roadhouse. The Feedburner circulation is, this morning, on pace to more than double, thanks to those two events alone.
