Chair Dancing

10 April 2005 3 Comments

Chair_dancingI almost hesitate to post this picture. There is something, after all, to be said for a bit of mystery. The faceless voice and all that. You can imagine whatever you choose to imagine about the layout of The Roadhouse studios and, in fact, just what its sole occupant looks like. I don’t want the picture to have the effect that videos on MTV had on music – destroying the personal images of the music.

However, the email from Debbie this week about boogeying in her cube made me smile for a few days. It seems entirely appropriate in that context to show the effect the music has on me each week as I’m recording the podcast.

This shot was taken during the April 9 podcast. I believe it was during the song "T-Bone’s Boogie" by T-Bone and the Nightcrawlers, though I wouldn’t swear to it. The blur of activity should be proof enough of the fun that Saturday afternoons have become in The Little Blue House On the Wetlands. [Click on the thumb for the full image.]

The picture reminds me of the “Tool Time” sitcom series where this one guy is only shown behind the fence. ;-)

I must say I’m dancing on the sofa when listening to The Roadhouse! And this reminds me of the movie “Roadie” staring Meat Loaf as Travis W. Redfish, the “best sitting Rock’n’Roll dancer in the world”.

Glad you posted that picture of your studio—though it looks like you missed some great product placement potential! Keep up the good casts.
