Did I Say That?
After posting show 23 last week, I realized I’d made one of those silly mistakes that will happen from time to time. After the great cut Handle With Care from the Alligator CD Nine Lives by Little Charlie and the Nightcats, I went into a somewhat long explanation of the different types of harmonica you might hear in a blues cut.
At the end of that discussion, I noted that Little Charlie Baty was perhaps one of the best in the world on the chromatic harp. I think even Little Charlie himself would dispute that, given that the harp player for Little Charlie and the Nightcats is actually Rick Estrin. Little Charlie is the guitar player, while Rick Estrin handles harp and vocals. It was one of those cases where I was seeing Rick Estrin’s face and thinking Little Charlie Baty. I actually didn’t catch the error until later in the week as I was listening back to the show. And, I forgot to make the correction in this week’s show.
So, there you go. Sometimes, a bit more editing would be useful.
