    Hi there!

Thanks, Guilherme. It’s always good to hear from “international” listeners. I’m sometimes still amazed by the reach of the web and the fact that people literally around the world are listening to the show.

You mentioned the sound quality of the show. I do take a great deal of care in trying to make the most of a 96 Kbps format. I realized on Sunday, though, that the mic was a bit “hot” for show #33 – there were a few places where it just sounded distorted. I’ll correct that this week and will hopefully be back to 100% sound quality.

    Thanks, again.

I really like this show! I can’t help but tapp the foot and sway and pound my fist into my fist like BB King while I am listening. I am glad I found your podcast.

The new look is great too!

Greetings! I’ve never really thought of myself as a big blues fan, but after listening to your podcast I’ve found I really enjoy it. Being a unix/linux person, I really enjoy the song on this show, Computer Club Queen, however, in my search to find it it doesn’t appear that it’s actually on the album you list. Looking at the track list for “Overqualified for the Blues” on amazon (at http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000BKSJ7K/102-3651516-8726513?v=glance ) doesn’t show it. This web page (http://www.jazzpromo.com/sections.php?op=viewarticle&artid=35 ) seems to indicate it’s on another album called “Who Paid You to Give Me the Blues?”

So, I just was wondering if you might be able to clear up the confusion (and perhaps play it again in a Roadhouse Rewound segment? O:-) ). Thanks very much.

It does look as if I’ve made a mistake in the listing. This particular cut actually came from one of the NorthernBlues samplers. I’ll check this listing on the sampler this evening and make a change to the link above.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Thank you very much for checking it out and for a great podcast!

BTW, since you mention your interest in Linux, any chance we might see an article in one of the Linux magazines (like Linux Journal or Linux Magazine) about creating a world class podcast using Linux? :-) I realize you’ve written about it here before, but I think that would make an interesting and enjoyable article. Doing a quick google search I don’t really see that they’ve done an article like this before (the closest being one LJ did on creating a podcast using shell only tools).

    Thanks again.

I’d love to do one for them. I mentioned it several months ago, but there didn’t seem to be much interest. In fact, before I started The Roadhouse, I sent them a proposal and “pilot” for a Linux Journal podcast. We tossed the idea back and forth for a few months, but nothing ever came of it officially.

There’s enough renewed interest in podcasting, and I have enough of a track record with them, that they might be interested now. I’ll have to query them again.
