Dear Tony:
Keep up the great work; I really enjoy the Roadhouse podcast. I live in the thumb of Michigan in a small town called Harbor Beach. I recently ran across a great band you might want to feature on the Roadhouse. They’re called Delta Moon and their self titled album just blew me away, in particular, the songs √Ǩ≈preachin√ǨѢ blues√Ǩ, √Ǩ≈shake √Ǩem on down√ǨѢ√Ǩ , and √Ǩ≈wang dang doodle.√Ǩ You can check out their website at http://www.deltamoon.com. Also, you might want to put the link for the Bad Dawg Radio podcast on your site, since they also showcase some great music. Again, thanks for the great show.
Jim
Right on rant!
your podcast is definately getting better as the range of music you play increases. It made a great counterpoint to Dave Ravens very mellow too ill to pogo show this week. And speaking of Dave Raven I see you dont have a link to him.
Simon
I do have a link to Dave. I’ve set the Podroll links to display randomly 15 at a time. Looking at the list, though, I definitely need to revise.
Thanks for the great comments.
Great to hear you play Tommy Z. We’ve known about him for years here in WNY. Now the secret’s out! Can’t wait to get him on my podcast!
Tony, you just blew my mind! There I was, stopping at a friend’s on my way home from a long day at work, band practice, and working out at the gym. When I got back into my car, what did my wondering ears behold, but Poco Taylor singing “Have You Heard The News!” In the “Wow-is-this-a-very-small-world-department”, I had been playing drums for that song just two hours before, because our “Goodrich Christmas Band” has selected that as one of the cover songs we’re doing for the plant at this year’s Christmas party.
I thought I had literally lost my mind! “Where is that coming from?” I thought! Then I realized I had left my MP3 player running, and I had joined your show at the top.
I’m gonna play this for my bandmates tomorrow and NOBODY is going to believe that YOU played HYHTN the same year we picked it out to play at Christmas.
Needless to say, your taste and timing are impeccable! Keep playing “The finest blues I’ve never heard”—hmmmm—make that “The finest blues I’ve ever covered!”
All the best, and Merry Christmas!

[P.S. Check out our 2003 live CD on CD Baby: The ‘P’ Street Band: Breakfast. If you want a wailing Christmas song off that album for your show this month, let me know and I’ll send you any cut you like to play on the podcast!]
I love your Podcast, but starting with #40 my podcast grabber started downloading the show every update (it was basically always downloading the same show.) I was using perlpodder (sourceforge.net/perlpodder), which I hoped to be the culprit. However, I’ve switched to Amarok V 1.3 (KDE standard) and it does the same thing (loads your shows over and over.) So does gPodder.
This same thing happened with Insomnia Radio about a month earlier. I sure hope you know its losing you subscriptions. You AMP guys need to work on that new hosting plan a bit. While the Roadhouse is off my RSS list for now, I’m still a site regular. Keep the tunes coming.
Tony,
After hearing the Koko Taylor and zydeco tunes, I went and bought “Genuine Houserockin’ Christmas” just like you said. Excellent disc! Thanks for the pointer – podcasts do drive sales.
Your show is superb, I look forward to it every week!
Thanks again,
Randy in NH
