The Roadhouse 072
The 72nd Roadhouse Podcast is another hour of the finest blues you’ve never heard. But, what does that really mean? The Beat Daddys, Dave Gross, The Gonstermachers, Magic Slim and the Teardrops, and Rich DelGrasso for starters. But they’re just five of the thirteen artists in this edition, nearly half of whom are truly independent. We’ll roll those right in with great artists from blues labels that have provided permissions to The Roadhouse. Your mission in this edition? Crack open a brew, crank up the headphones and chair-dance to your heart’s content.

No Mighty Lester??!! Hee hee… still a great show as usual Tony! Keep em coming! – Lenny
I think this is one of your best. Found myself tap-n my toe, chair dancing for sure. I would call the sound power blues. The songs collectively spoke of going somewhere, the traveling blues. Happy to hear your numbers are up. Don’t lose the day job, it would be major bummer if the roadhouse turned into just a job. What I mean is your show has a lot of heart, it feel like your having fun and it truely feels like a party everyweek.
are you going to the podexpo in california?

Tom:
Thanks for the great comments.
The only room in the house without an air-conditioning duct is the laundry room—The Roadhouse Studios. It was 90+ outside on Saturday and 86 degrees in my office. By the time the show was finished, my clothes were soaked in sweat. I was bouncing in my chair the whole time I was putting the show together, then taking short breaks in the air-conditioning in the rest of the house. It felt like a roadhouse!
As for the expo—the day job will keep me here, though I’d love to go. I think I’ll keep that day job for awhile, too.
Thanks, again.
I record my podcast from a building where we had a 3000 gallon water tank. This is when we were with out county water. The pump would do about 3 gallons an hour …. anyway since we are now on the county system we removed the tank and I now record from the tiny pumphouse on the hill. Last week was 107 outside, heaven knows what the temp was inside the pumphouse. I was drip too. The mic was literly hot. Oh for the love of a podcast. Thank for bitting the bullet. SomeOne should develope a pod safe air conditioner True Story.
