The Roadhouse Live

10 August 2006 4 Comments

I’ve been talking with Ray at TPSRadio.net for the past few days about the future of The Roadhouse on his network. I’ve been part of his lineup for a good chunk of the show’s life, but only in the podcast version.

I’m excited to tell you that The Roadhouse will join the live TPSRadio.net lineup within the next few weeks. Yes, that’s right – a streaming live version of the show weekly from The Little Blue House on the Wetlands.

The live version of the show will be a different creature than the podcast version. TPSRadio covers all the licensing fees for streaming, so the selection of music in that version of the show will be much broader. I’ll be able to cull the playlist for each show from my entire catalog of 4,000+ blues cuts. In other words, it’ll be less focused on independent and permission-based labels than on the blues genre as a whole.

While I’m a bit nervous about going live once a week, I’m sure I’ll find a groove, and it should be great fun in the end. And, I have all the gear I need to deliver the best live sound possible over a streaming connection.

Check back here or listen in to the show for scheduling details. Then, join me weekly in the live Roadhouse.

Does this mean the podcast Roadhouse is going to stop?

Not a chance. First, last and always a podcast.
