The Roadhouse 080

26 August 2006 4 Comments

nullI’ve taken a long weekend to sail Lake Michigan off Racine, Wisconsin. But, you know I’d never leave you without The Roadhouse. I’m the blues pusher-man who fixes your weekly jones. And, this week, it’s the high-grade stuff. Jimi “Prime Time” Smith, Charlie Musselwhite, Lightnin’ Hopkins, Luther Allison, Elvin Bishop and nine other artists fill out the hour. Fourteen cuts, one full hour of the finest blues you’ve never heard.

    Tony,

I have been with your new sponsor for a few months. What a shame they rarely stock any of the great songs you play. I listen, i search their site, nada. Have a word with them and make them available from their site please :)

I was surprised to hear the above comment about lack of roadhouse songs in emusic. I’ve been very happy with Tony’s choice of emusic as a sponser because I’ve found a lot of the artists and albums that are featured on the Roadhouse on Emusic. So, I made a list that you can check out, Gary, or anybody else. So far I just put songs that are in RH 80.

Quite a bit of the music in the show is now from eMusic. All the Document Records stuff, and cuts from Ruf, Rykodisc, Vanguard and several others. I’m currently pursuing Black Top Records, also, which is owned by eMusic. Hopefully, you’ll see even more eMusic-available cuts in the show.

And, thanks to the others who have created lists of Roadhouse music on eMusic.
