The Roadhouse 086
The home of The Roadhouse Studios, beautiful Iowa City, Iowa, really is beautiful this time of year. The temperatures are perfect and the foliage is alive in reds and greens and golds. The foliage in this edition of The Roadhouse is great, as well, with Guitar Shorty, Teresa James, Hubert Sumlin, Jimi “Prime Time” Smith, and Mem Shannon. The seasons are changing but, as always, The Roadhouse delivers another hour of the finest blues you’ve never heard.

Hey Tony,
I came in on the Roadhouse number 12 and after a year and a half of enjoying the show, I decided to go for the premium version. I knew you wouldn’t disappoint me. When I hit play on my Ipod this morning and the Roadhouse number 86 kicked off with Koko Taylor and “Let the Good TImes Roll”, I was on a jam packed train in Tokyo, with half a dozen complete strangers pressed firmly against my body. Luckily, Koko was rockin’ at just the same rhythm as the train, so I was able to dance my way to work. Thanks for putting together such a great show for us.
great show, tony! a bit too “clean” for my taste but definitely great! too bad I still have trouble figuring out how to subscribe to the feed with Songbird, but eventually I will be ….
Tony,
Thanks for the great podcast. I know this is a late comment for this show, but I found an issue with it in the feed. My podcatcher tries to download this show every time I check for new shows. I always cancel it as soon as it starts to save your bandwidth. I found today the issue, my podcatcher is finicky with dates and the pubDate you have for this episode is wrong. you have Sat, 6 Oct 2006 09:06:21 CDT but Oct 6 was Friday. can you fix that to either Sat the 7th or Fri the 6th? Just don’t want your logs getting thrown off by all the request for this file.
Thanks for the heads-up, Mike. I’ve corrected the feed. You should be good.
