The Roadhouse 087

14 October 2006 4 Comments

nullThere’s been a cold snap in beautiful Iowa City, Iowa this week. But that only marks the passage of the calendar and the start of the baseball playoffs. With my beloved St. Louis Cardinals in the National League Championship Series, I stack The Roadhouse lineup card with Lonnie Brooks, David “Honeyboy” Edwards, The Teague Stefan Band, Erskine Oglesby, and Buddy Guy and Junior Wells. It’s a lineup that makes for another hour of the finest blues you’ve never heard – the 87th Roadhouse Podcast.

I am only three songs into this weeks shows and think this has to be one of the best yet. This Ronnie Baker Brooks tune kicks butt.

Thanks, Lenny and Mark. It’s funny how starting a show with a song called “A Good Fool Is Hard To Find” really sets the tone!

And, Mike – gotta have that win tonight if any of those Pujols homeruns are to really count. Let’s hope Suppan can shut ‘em down.
