The Roadhouse 089

28 October 2006 5 Comments

nullThe Roadhouse Studios are infused with joy this week at the World Series win of the St. Louis Cardinals. That joy makes for an upbeat show, with little room for slow blues. New music from Inside Sounds leads the way with Charlie Wood, The Billy Gibson Band and The Daddy Mack Blues Band. Professor Longhair and Jimmy Thackery & The Cate Brothers also take the bandstand with loads of great music to follow. It’s a home run in the 89th Roadhouse Podcast – the finest blues you’ve never heard.

Hey Tony, I’m not really a baseball fan (NFL junkie) but when I watched the Cards get the final out last night, I couldn’t help but think of you down there in Iowa. Congrats to St. Louie. I knew you’d have a theme today!

Hi Tony , I’ve been listening to your show since #17 . I ‘ve been a big blues fan since I got to see Muddy Waters in 73. I had to really dig hard to find blues music up here in rural Nova Scotia Canada over the years but when I found your show the flood gates opened wide ! Your shows play at home , on the I-pod in the car and 9 hours a day at my shop . All the blues music I purchase ( got Bo Ramsey and Billy Gibson yesterday ) is directly because of your show and it keeps geting better and better every week . Listening to 89 right now . Too cool ! Double your price on premium and I’m in there . Thank you so much for making my life that much richer with the best blues I’ve never heard . The blues makes me happy .

Hey, Tony, I’m getting a “file not found” message from iTunes and the download link when I try to download show 89. Just FYI…by the way, I just recently discovered your show, and I like it a lot. Keep up the great work! Congratulations on your Card winning the Series!

Love the outro, Tony. For once, the Redbirds don’t have the October blues.
