The Roadhouse 216
Rising temperatures, longer days and the upcoming baseball season opener mean it’s spring – and time for spring training. That little pile of songs that didn’t get used in other shows perfectly fits the flow of the 216th Roadhouse. Junior Wells, Bobby Jones, Rod Price, Michael Bloomfield, Tad Robinson, and listener comments make for a great spring cleaning and another hour of the finest blues you’ve never heard.

Hi Tony – if these are ‘just the leftovers’ let’s do it again! I thought RH216 was a great show with such a wide ranging selection of fantastic blues cuts from traditional to contemporary, accoustic to electric. Glad to see you put in a female singer as well.
Some I already have (you really should play Johnny Jones’ title track from The Blues Is In The House more often), but some others I immediately went out and bought (Magic Dick and Son Seals – both those I need to explore further).
RH216 has already been played twice and I think there is every good chance that it will go around again some more. All the best as you go into spring and we head for autumn – Simon.
PS I notice the weekly views of the show notes are dropping off lately.
